The Great Gnomic Wars left many scars across the continent. Of the many disturbing weapons created, the Behemoth was by far the largest and strongest. But these creations, with simple minds of their own, required constant attention to control.

At the time of the last gnomic sorcerer's death, three Behemoths were said to have existed. In the aftermath of the second great war however, all knowledge of how to control the gnomes' magical inventions had been lost - due in part to the greedy and jealous hoarding of mystical secrets by a society of sorcerers that refused to write anything unless in code, an enchantment, or a curse.

Now, more than a century later, whispers of sorcery grow again. And for better or worse, legends are returning to the world.
